While I usually choose to create my own households, I have been known to play with pre-made sims from the more prominent families of the town.
My latest adventure with a pre-made household was in Appaloosa Plains with the Bird sisters.
I had Oriole Bird adopt a toddler, when she was a teen she started dating Ethan Parrot.
She later married Ethan Parrot and moved into the Parrot house.
They now have four children - one in the teen life state and triplets in the child life state.
I remodeled the Parrot house when they moved in, but as EA houses tend to go, it really doesn't offer much in the way of interesting architecture. And so I've decided to build them a new house.
I have pictures of their current house, I won't be bulldozing it, my plan for this save game was to marry my sims into a new pre-made household with each generation and remodel the house.
I still plan on doing that, this house is just going to be a side project.
So I have pictures of the current household:

I took pictures at night because...
I wasn't thinking.
So things that I changed...
I don't think I changed the floor plan all that much.
I did get rid of the ugly base game windows and replace them with CC windows.
I kept all the flamingos in the yard because... I really like pink flamingos duh.
There is a chess table at the entrance.
The wall between the living room and the study was knocked down.
On of my sims is a gardener so the bird room that is attached to the house is now a garden room.
I gave them a glass dining room table, a whole new kitchen.
The study is a playroom.
The two rooms of the main floor are for the kids.
Its all pretty basic.
The upstairs.
Since I removed the study there is a desk up here now.
The master bath has a bathtub and a shower.
And the master bedroom.
I really hate the master bedroom.
The shape looks interesting but its difficult to decorate the way I want to decorate it.
And these are more of the same shots but different angles.
Bottom floor different angle.
So... not so bad. But not interesting.
Now we move on to the house I plan to build.
Originally my plan was to place one of the pre-made 4+ bedroom behemoths from the edit town screen. But I've used most of those houses before and I wanted something new.
I decided I wanted something modern. I also wanted it to be on a platform.
And I also wanted there to be water like a large pond in the middle of the platform and underneath it.
So now we have this.
I'm not sure what I'm going for with it...
And I ran out of money.
So I need my sims to make at least 10,000 simoleons before I can start to put up walls.
This should be easy because one of them has the collection helper as a lifetime reward.
I may make the center island accessible somehow...
Or make some kind of walkway that walks over it.
I also want it to be more pond-like with mud and plants and different grasses and things.
But I think this is a nice foundation (ha!) to start with and I plan on building up from here (ha ha!).
